Moon Shot

Moon Shot is a documentary short profiling the internet’s favorite astrophotographer, Andrew McCarthy. Andrew's inventive and eye-catching images of the cosmos have helped him go from a novice with a passion for space to a professional artist with a huge online following in just a few years. The film tells Andrew's inspiring story, and follows along on his excursion to capture an iconic photograph of a rare Blood Moon eclipse. In his words, he wants to show people the moon in a "way they've never seen it before."

This beautiful, mediative film was shot almost entirely in the Mojave Desert of California, and features a gorgeous original score from award-winning Argentinian composer Guido Consoli. Moon Shot is reminder to follow your passions, pursue your dreams and to shoot for the moon.

Moon Shot is an original King Toledo short documentary, and an Official Selection at both the DOC NYC and Chagrin Documentary Film Festivals.
